Have not frequented the cadalyst site. I checked my file create date. I have had some custom wood grain patterns since 2006. The other 294 files all were created in March 2010.
I now recall I got them from somebody on this forum. 'Use' is a loose term. Most of them are far too weird to actually use but I have made 'Easter Eggs'(tiny little surprises) from a few.
