We use LG GPad's with Android 8.0 here at the office for certain positions. I took two devices that were going to be issued out and plugged them into a charger so they could be at 100% when they were issued. As soon as I plugged in the devices a message popped up stating ' Firmware Update Do not unplug the USB connection until the process is complete.'
As shown in the image above. It has bee 4 hours now and the percentage is still 0, it has not gone anywhere. I have done a few quick google searches but I haven't found anything helpful as of yet. I cannot power off of reboot the device. I am tempted to crack it open and remove the battery to shut it down then try booting it up after. Both of the devices underwent a factory data reset last week and were perfectly functional until today when I plugged them in. Has anyone encountered this issue before?
Is there a simple resolution that I am overlooking here? **RESOLVED** Yanking the battery did work for one device. For the other device I plugged it into a Fast Charger and it automatically rebooted just fine. Edited Jan 31, 2017 at 21:59 UTC.
